About Ruby patterns

Ruby is one of the three top-color variants of the Karambit Doppler — multiple red gradients on the metallic smoke base, mimicking polished ruby texture. The handle stays unpainted, putting full visual weight on the blade.

Absolute pattern perfection is unattainable — the translucent wavy lines always leave some unevenness — but seed #251 ("Max Ruby") shows the cleanest, near-complete red coverage on the play side. T1–T4 tiers gauge how completely the ruby material fills the visible blade. Note that Ruby, Sapphire, and Black Pearl share the same seed-tier ranking system because they carry the same paint_seed.

01T1Tier 1 — Best patterns

A render will appear when a listing becomes available.
What makes a T1

The best patterns in this skin. Tightest symmetry, deepest coverage, and the visual hallmarks that separate top-shelf examples from everything else.

02T2Tier 2

What makes a T2

Very strong patterns — close to T1 quality but with one or two visual compromises (off-axis tip, slightly less coverage, or a less symmetric back).

03T3Tier 3

What makes a T3

Above-average patterns. Recognisable as "good" but with a clear weakness compared to T1/T2 — useful for buyers who want a hint of pattern premium without paying T1 prices.

04T4Tier 4

What makes a T4

The lower end of curated patterns. Still better than a random unranked roll, but the visual differentiator is subtle.

Everything else — Unranked

The remaining ~868 paint_seeds fall outside the curated tiers. They make up the bulk of Phase 1 supply on every marketplace and don’t carry a pattern premium — what you see is what you get, like the baseline reference (seed #9) we used at the top of this guide. If a seed isn’t listed in T1–T4 or BTA above, treat it as Unranked.
