Every ★ Flip Knife | Doppler Phase 1 has the same paint_index — but the pattern seed (0–999) controls exactly how the dye lands on the blade. Two listings can have the same wear and float but look dramatically different.
The cards below compare a typical Unranked roll (seed #229) against the Tier-1 hero we picked (seed #574). Same skin, same phase, same wear band — pattern is the only difference.

About Phase 1 patterns
The Flip Knife is a large curved-blade design with prominent tip work. Phase 1 carries the Doppler metallic-smoke base — translucent wavy lines with dark blue, purple, and pink gradients. The curved tip makes pink-tip rolls visually distinctive on this knife.
Tier 1–3 rank seeds by how cleanly the pink-purple gradient sits on the play side. The Flip's curved tip emphasizes tip-coverage in the ranking — patterns where pink reaches the apex cleanly are valued higher than mid-blade-only specimens.

The best patterns in this skin. Tightest symmetry, deepest coverage, and the visual hallmarks that separate top-shelf examples from everything else.

Very strong patterns — close to T1 quality but with one or two visual compromises (off-axis tip, slightly less coverage, or a less symmetric back).

If a seed isn’t listed in T1–T4 or BTA above, treat it as Unranked.
